Vacation in Doha, Qatar
My friends and I had a wonderful and interesting vacation in Doha one week before school holidays. We went there by Qatar Airways airbus which departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on 14 November 2011 at 10 a.m. The ticket fee is RM4301 per person.
After 8 hours of flying, finally we reached at Doha International Airport at 1 p.m., Doha’s time. After took our luggage, we went to Lavilla Palace Hotel which situated at Alasmakh Street 28694, Doha, 200408 Qatar by a green taxi called ‘Karwa’. It is 3.4 kilometres from Doha International Airport. We have booked 2 rooms which price of one room is 287QAR per night.
The next day, in the early morning, we took a taxi to a beautiful beach named Corniche. The water of the sea is clear as crystal as we can see the deep of the sea. Then, we have snap a few photos in front of Pearl-Oyster Sculpture as our memories.

The third day in Doha, we spend our time at Museum of Islamic Arts which designed by I.M. Pei. Admission to the museum galleries is free. The museum has a unique designed which the ceiling and the whole museum was build with Islamic patterns. After knew about the Arabian Art, we decided to have a lunch at Seri Kebaya Malaysian Restaurant which provide variety of Malaysia food like Nasi Lemak, Satay, Lontong and more. Each plate of Nasi Lemak which add with Rendang Ayam is QAR20. Even though it is more expensive than in Malaysia, but the taste is so good because the chef and all ingredients are imported from Malaysia.

On the fourth day, we went to Souq Waqif in the night. We took 10 minutes journey to Souq Waqif from our hotel. Souq Waqif is an important souq in Doha, literally translated to “the standing market”. This shopping destination is renowned for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts and souveniers. We bought ‘Abaya’ which it is a long dress usually wore by Arabian women.

On 18 November, the fifth day my friends and I in Doha, we went to Doha Fort which situated on Jassim Bin Mohammed Street. The fort lies in the Al-Bida district of Doha. The fort gives tourists insights into the history of Qatar. Besides that, the fort has helped in growth of tourism in Qatar. In the afternoon, five of us went to Oryx Farm and Equestrian Club. The national animal of Qatar is Oryx and that’s why they take good care of this animal from being extinct. Nowhere in the world, it is difficult to find the large number of Oryx and because of that reason, we went to take a look of Oryx which not easy to find in Malaysia.

19 November, all of us went to City Center Mall, Hyatt Plaza, Villaggio Shopping Mall and The Mall to go shopping. City Center is the largest shopping mall in Doha. Here, you will find almost everything you are looking for. After bought what we look for, we went back to our hotel to take a rest.
In the early morning on the next day, after had a breakfast, we packed our things and belongings because at 8.30 a.m, we will be leaving Doha and back to our lovely country, Malaysia. After check-out, we rent a green taxi to bring us to the airport.
We had a wonderful and unforgettable trip in Doha. We hope in the future we will spend our holidays there again.

How are you and your family? I hope you are in good health.
Do you have any plan for this coming holiday? My friends and I have decided to spent the holiday at Doha,Qatar for seven days. We choose Qatar because there are many interesting places we can go. It would be nice to have you with us.
During your course of stay, we would visit various tourist places in Qatar such as Doha Fort, Doha City Centre, Museum of Islamic Arts, Oryx Farm and Equestrian Club and many other interesting places.
During our stay there, we will also get an opportunity to see and experience Qatar’s culture, meet different kinds of people and different variety of food. We are planning to go some cool places during this time so bring the suitable clothes.

Qamarina: Hi guys. Have you decide where would we go for the school holiday ?
Syuhada: I think I know where should we go.
Nabila: Then, where ?
Syuhada: I am thinking to go to Doha, Qatar. I’ve looked information about Doha. What do you think ?
Aqilah: Well, that’s not a bad idea. Furthermore, you have been there.
Syuhada: In Doha, there are many interesting and beautiful places. That’s why I want to go there for the second time with you guys. Do you all agree with me ?
Nabila, Aqilah and Qamarina: Yes, we agree.
Nabila: Do you have planned what the suitable date to go there?
Syuhada: How about 14 November untill 20 November 2011? We have 1 week to travel around Doha.
Aqilah: Okay.
Nabila: What about the flight Syuhada ?
Syuhada: I have checked the flight schedule and we can get there from Kuala Lumpur International Airport straight to Doha International Airport. It will be around 8 hours for us to be in the flight. When we have reach there, we can take a taxi for us to use. It will be more free to go anywhere we want than having a tourist guide.
Qamarina: Syuhada, what about the money currency ? Can I know RM1 equal to how much Qatar Riyal ? It is important for us to prepare some money to exchange it later.
Syuhada: If I am not wrong, RM1 equal to 1.20QAR. One more thing before I forget, I will survey the
suitable hotel for us to stay and book rooms which I think good for all of us.
Nabila: Can we invite Adibah to our vacation to Doha, Qatar ?
Syuhada: I am agree with you. It will be the best moment for all of us to have a vacation together.
Aqilah: That will be interesting. For the confirmation from Adibah, I will sent a letter to her whether she can go along with us.
Syuhada: Then, we should list the things that we need to bring.
Nabila: Now, I really can’t wait for the holiday. So excited.

INTRO
Assalamualaikum.
First of all, we just want to say that we create this blog for our English project which we have to post some essays in this blog. Our teacher, Puan Mona Muhd told us to choose one destination to go for a vacation. We decided to go to Doha, Qatar which is 3668 miles or 5901.81km from Malaysia. Besides, we choose this country because it is an Islamic country so that it is easy for us to find Halal foods.
My group members are Nur Syuhada binti Kamaruldzaman, Fatin NabilaHuda binti Ismail, Nur Qamarina binti Ghazali and Nur Aqilah binti Kamal. The next entries are 4 types of essays that we have done about this vacation.
